I'm sorry to hear that you have had bad relationships in the past. The truth is there ARE good men out there. I just wish you could hear this from a woman. Unfortunately, I'm just another possibly untrustworthy man. All I can tell you is this:-
If a man wants to look after you and protect you...that's fine!
If a mans' opinion differs from yours and the problem seems to be unresolvable...again that's fine. Just agree to disagree!
If a mans' opinion differs from yours and he's not interested in your opinion, he will probably go on to unconditionally dictate the next series of events. This is NOT fine! Men who want to dominate their partners will often use violent means (sound familiar!) to get their way.
In a nutshell, the moment you feel that your partner is trying to rule your life...that's the time to move on!
So don't give up on men, we're not all bad...and 'no' I'm not gay!

I am a man so I can tell you that all men are not abusive and inconsiderate.I have been married to the same great woman for the last 44 years. We have raised two good sons who are married and who love their wives very much.I live in Illinois but my heritage comes from the south.I think that respect comes from how you are raised.Go slow with relationships learn to earn each others trust. Remember that we are only human and not perfect. If you save your heart for the right one you will know it when he comes along.

You just have to realize that all men (just like all women) are not the same. You shouldn't let one idiots behaviour in the past ruin your relationships in the present or future.Do u realize how much power u have given that person by allowing him to do that?Life is short baby girl, time to get on wit it,live your life, move forward learn from the past but don't let it dictate your life in the present.
peace!

You need to spend some time alone. Just as you will not be able to love if you do not love yourself, you will not be able to trust if you do not trust yourself. Obviously, it doesnt sound like it works the same with trust because you think that it is the guy that you do not trust. Trust me, (Sorry that I also happen to be a guy) when you spend some time alone, you will find that ability to trust hence love again. Good luck.

You probably won't like this but: you gotta forgive whoever has ever hurt you ( not necessarily forget). That can take time. I have had the same problem, and I have been more successful and happier when I ask God to help me, and to remember that it is in HIS TIMING, not ours.
Have you ever hurt someone and it wasn't intentional? And if we don't forgive others, we won't be forgiven. Good luck.

Trust is earned so you can always learn to trust with someone that's earned it.
