i own a repair shop,,and don't buy any tire with a rugged tread pattern on it,they all make a road noise or a roar,or whine sound,,get a good all season radial tire that will be the quietest riding tire you can put on it,,i do this for a living, and any good tire that has a good reputation will be good,as long as it has a road warranty on it,good luck i hope this help,s.

Good Year has some all seasons that are pretty quiet. Look for a tire with small tread openings, the larger the openings or grooves, the more noise. Michelin are also pretty quiet
