Some of the gifts I have gotton for my nephews include tickets to sporting events, savings bonds for college (not their favorite, but parents appreciate), gift certificates to McDonalds or favorite restaurant, and gift passes or memberships to local centers (batting cages, go-carts, science museum, YMCA, etc). For clothes I have relied on gift cards, as they are starting to get picky about what they wear. I also try to encourage books at all ages. 11-year-old boys are often hard to buy for in this category, but I have managed to find books that my nephews (9, 11, 13) actually enjoy. Some of these include books from the following series: Goosebumps, Harry Potter, Beyblade, Yughio, Pokeman (seems to be losing popularity, but one still likes). Hope this helps.
