In 2001, the approximate religious affiliation of the US population was as follows:

80% Christians
1.5% Jews
0.5% Muslims
0.5% Buddhists
2.5% Other
15% Undecided/Atheists/Agnostic

(Wikipedia)

I now need to obtain a sample of the smartest and wealthiest Americans and decipher their religious preferences. Would Mensa have record of their members’ religious affiliation?

Yes, the Jews are the most intelligent and occupy the majority in the highest tax bracket. A Jew on welfare is almost unheard of. Next to the Jews would be the Atheists. Rationality is embedded in intelligence hence their non-attachment to a God. Furthermore, it is this un-slaved thinking, which forms the foundation of their innovative career successes.

Mensa would not give out that info.
I know that for sure.
You will find the wealthy people(monetary) will not always be forth giving in that information.
All of the business people I deal with are Christian and we all have been very successful.

It would also be helpful if for wealth you look at current beliefs compared to beliefs during the amassing of wealth. you may find agnostic while amassing money and Christian after because money did not buy happiness.
