You are learning to make pots? Where do you go to school? Is this part of the arts program? Sounds cool to me!

I supposed learning to make pots teaches you discipline, patience and it forces you to concentrate on your project. In order to make a decent, well made pot, you have to follow precise directions or else the pot will crack and break.

You may be called upon to make a pot for an emergency, but the skills you learned from pottery will help you later in life.

You never know when those skills will come in handy. :)

Ceramics and any art classes do have big reasons to be in schools. They let students show their creativity and express themselves. It's something they can be good in if they're not good at anything else. Also, there just might be a situation one day where you'll have to make a pot or another object. You never know.
