First person is correct with ugli fruit, but not with the spelling--ends in i not y.

As for x

Xanthan Gum† - Bodying Agent, Bulking Agent, Emulsifier, Foaming Agent, Gelling Agent, Stabilizer, Suspending Agent, Thickener, Whipping Agent

Xylitol† - Humectant, Moisture-Retaining Agent, Nutritive Sweetener, Sweetening Agent

Or, if you don't like those, try:
x-mas cookies :p

Or, Xystreurys liolepis (Fantail Flounder)

Okay, starting with U:

udo (type of Japanese vegetable like asparagus)
udon (type of Japanese noodle)
ugli fruit (a Jamaican citrus fruit)
umeboshi (pickled Japanese plums)
upside-down cake (a popular pineapple cake)

Starting with X:

xanthan gum (food additive)
xylitol (food additive)

Starting with Y:

yogurt (dairy product)
Yorkshire pudding (mix of eggs, milk, flour, and beef)
yuzu (sour Japanese citrus fruit)
youngberry (type of blackberry)
yam (like sweet potato)
yellow-eyed pea

Starting with Z:

zucchini (cucumber-like vegetable)
ziti (long tubes of macaroni)
zungenwurst (type of German sausage)
zwieback (German bread snack)
zuppa (the Italian word for soup)

Best of luck...sorry for the slim pickings on X.

The only thing I can think of is a dessert called zabaglione, which is an Italian pudding made out of wine and egg yolks.

I prefer both fruits and fresh vegetables better, however they look and taste. You desire a little of both.

In the event it's a fruit they have seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
