My guidance counselor is a straight up B-I-T-C-H to every1. She'll bark at you over anything-she's not welcoming at all and NO ONE likes her. She's no guidance counselor-no one wants to go to her, becuz no one's sure if they'll come back alive. Every time I'm around her she makes me feel rly stupid. I have 2 go to a meeting with her about college next week, &I don't know what to do. I know she's going 2 make me feel like I have no options &like I've already screwed my chances of getting anywhere because even though my grades are OK, they could be better [i've gone thru a lot these past few yrs]. ANYWAY, even my friend's MOTHER who had another child go to my school has noticed that this woman is only nice to the supersmart kids & everyone else is just "lesser-than-thou" or something. The school's not gonna get rid of her either cuz she's been here 4 like 235 yrs already & besides her abnormal b!tchness she's good w/ the college process thing..
WHAT CAN WE DO? JUST PUT UP WITH HER?

She makes me so ANGRY! She makes nearly everyone feel like complete sh!t! Even kids from different schools who came to take the SATS at our school can't stand her. It's like, when I'm in her presence, I just want to be invisible.

Sorry, I only typed like that above because I needed to save space - I couldn't get everything in so I had to change some things in order to.

I'm actually a very good speller in general and looking at what I wrote was actually kind of bothersome to me too...but whatever lol

If you can't switch counselors, and you are afraid that you won't get all the accurate information you need, go directly to the college you want to attend. They have counslors too, they can help you and tell you exactly how to apply and everything you need to know. Might be worth the long distance charges.
You may wind up kissing some butt. It's part of being a grown up in business after all. ;-)
Bring your counselor chocolate, or muffins, or something when you have to go see her. Be super nice, try to kill her with kindness.
When I have to deal with difficult people, I make a game of trying to make them smile, or just be pleasant enough to give me what I want so I can go on my merry way. That way, I'm in a good mood and thinking happy thoughts, and less likely to piss myself or get mad.
I hope this works for you. Remember that you will have to deal with these people your whole life, so you have to learn quick.
Good Luck.

It's a bad situation to put kids in. Sounds more like this woman should be a prison matron. Can you talk to the principal about her, in a calm and distinct way with examples, and tell him or her how this woman makes you and others feel? Above all, remember you are a worthy person and she is only one voice in hundreds of millions.

Make about twenty copies of this note and tape them to her door, the principal's door, the door to the teachers' lounge, and anywhere else that you think may be appropriate.
But clean up your spelling, and leave out the part about having an appointment with her and going through a lot for the past couple years.

Why not write a letter to the school board and the principal. See if you can get other kids to sign it.

You can also request a time to sit down with the principal to discuss her. She sounds like she is in the wrong field.

Tell your parents to talk to the district superintendent. I think at this point the principal will just ignore this. He's probably gotten many complaints and if she's not gone by now, she won't be. So go on up the food chain...

each so often they have own themes that may lead them to sense so offended and insecure that they only take it out on anybody weaker than them. only venting anger like anybody else, yet they do it in a fashion which hurts human beings (emotionally or bodily). there is likewise the style of bully that does that style of crap only because of the fact they are in a position to wreck out with it. they don't care and that they don't possibly have effects that be counted to them.

No one can make you feel like crap. You are choosing to feel that way. Get over yourself and ask good questions about your college plans.
