there's this guy that i like who's in 9th grade...i'm in 7th....you could say we're friends....one day i was walking in the hall and he was walking and he said hi to me and all i did was put my head down and kept walking.....what would you have done...i just was wondering (we go to the same school cause our school thing is messed up k-6=elementary 7-9=junior high building 10-12=senoir high building...the 9th graders are still freshman and high school students but they go to the junior high building if you were wondering)

I would have said hi back to him. Next time you see him in the hallway, smile and say hi to him. Don't be shy...you will always be asking yourself the "what If" question. And also, if something does come from this and you end up dating....save yourself....he is older and dont let himself pressure you into sex......wait til you are older.

If you considered yourself as his friend than why did you put your head down and kept walking when he said hi to you???? If he says hi a next time. Talk to him. Have a conversation, do that for a couple of times and then ask him out. But because of how you reacted to him saying hi, you need to have a few conversations with him before you ask him out, that way you can see a bit more of each others personalities before you really decide if you like him or not.

When someone from school says hello, the natural reaction is to say something back. That is normal politeness.
