This isn't blood or anything - its a black substance of sorts....I am not certain, but I wonder if this could be from very old fillings (from maybe 12-20 years ago)...and if so, could it be dangerous? This thing makes me kind of nervous...

fillings do need to get redone every so often. If you have fillings that old around the teeth this is originating from, go see your dentist b/c they probably need to be redone. Do it soon so that you do not form more/or worsen any cavities.

You can not keep using the same piece of floss that long. Use a new piece daily.
I have never heard this before. It may be the Fillings but not seem correct to me. Is there a food you been eating that may cause this? Or something you Drink often. Other than that I would say see your Dentist and have him check it out.

WOW, I have never heard of that before, I floss all the time, occasionally I see blood, but never black. U definitely need to go to the dentist. If u have an infection, it can travel and cause serious problems, even death!
