Fibromyalgia has been dealing with me for about eight years. I've only known the name of this enemy for the past three years, though. It took close to three years' worth of doctors' visits after I realized something wasn't normal before I got a definitive diagnosis. I take 800 mg. of Aleve and a 1000-mg. flaxseed oil capsule every night at bedtime for daily pain management, and I take tablets of Arnica, a homeopathic herb, as needed for flareups. The links below should be helpful for you if you've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

I have all the symptoms of Fibromyalgia. It is difficult to plan anything. So Lynn is right. You never know how you'r gonna feel. I can't hardly walk, stand, or sit for a long period of time. Now , that I have read some of your answers, it makes me wonder, how long I have had it. I have been having problems for years now. Good luck to you....

Wow. Check out ww.arachnoidcyst.org
My friend owns the site and it has tons of information for you. She was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about a year ago after asking for years about the disease. Of course the research is so vague it doesn't help and the doctors are morons. "You are a-symptomatic" is the common response.
Good luck with everything if you have it.

I have had it for a lot of years but the only thing u can do is take a anti- inflammatory such as aleve, etc. If u do not have a bleeding disorder this should relieve u some but I would ask my Dr. first. Good luck, Jo

5 years I have sufferred with it-I can no longer work-after a while other diseases start to jump in-like sjogrens-maybe other auto immune disease--not much in the way of treatment --you have to find the medication that works for you-it can be just tylenol or up to a narcotic--a sleep study should be done as well-they find that fibro patients often have sleep apnea-there is a connection. The pain I treat with meds-a daily walk-meditation-biofeed back--all things I have taught myself--it is a very difficult way to live...you can't plan anything because you never know what shape you will be in from day to day..hang in there....

I have had it since 1990. It is recurring. I took antidepressants for awhile, they help.
It helps to lose weight, swim, and exercise. Try not to be stressed (if that is possible nowadays).
