Catholics are not masochists. If you mean to ask if we enjoy suffering, the answer is no. Catholics embrace suffering, however, as we feel that it brings us closer to Christ's suffering on the Cross. And we also believe suffering can help save people's souls, including our own.

How odd as I am a Catholic and not a lover of pain. We do not find enjoyment in pain but one believes suffering has merit. Learn the difference please.
