Have a laugh people, do you think Jesus went about sour-faced all his life?
For all we know he may have been a stand-up comedian.
God has a sense of humour, have you ever been to England?!

When I told the people of Northern Ireland that I was an atheist, a woman in the audience stood up and said, 'Yes, but is it the God of the Catholics or the God of the Protestants in whom you don't believe?

God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh.

Unfortunately it sounds like you have a very narrow view of the world. Sometimes I suppose 'Religious types' are caught up in the bigger issues of life and can come across in the media as solemn.
I am a God loving Christian who loves life and enjoys a good laugh. maybe you need to get out more and meet some of these people you speak of...

Religous people sometimes forget that its healthy to make joke and question.
It appears that if you make comment, joke, question or offer counter arguement to thier Yahoo questions you get reported for defending your personal opion.

I actuatly think Christians(a generalisation- i know) should not ask religious questions that could be concidered as provocative, arguementative, derogatory to others or thier personal beliefs, or are aimed to encite negative reaction...
i.e
- Dont you know you will all go to hell for your sins?
- XZY belief is for lesser people?
- Are non- believers stupid or....??

I think a regilion that has no room to be able to have humar appears to be an oppressive one. As im sure a God would enjoy Happy chearful followers, who are contented and not stiffled and oppressed

(This is my own personal opion and is not ment in any way as a slurr on anyones beliefs, faiths or whatever- its just my own opion!!)

For some reason people associate religion with suffering and humor with sin, but believe me not all religions have such wrong ideas, I am a Jehovah's witness, and I don't know any other religion where people where so devoted to their believes and had so much fun as we do, after all as 1 Timothy 1:11 says God is a "happy God" and he wants us to be happy too.

I'm a Christian and think I'm the funniest person I know. Just ask Jesus!

Oh those uptight Christian types who are like the Pharisees of old. So worried about image and self-righteousness that they missed out on the joy of being in the presence of our heavenly Father.

You said religious types but you focused on Jesus didn't you.

Actually I'm a christian and very easily amused. I'm glad I have a God that invented comedy. When people get all antichristian and whatnot, it isn't funny anymore.

The fact of the matter is that many Christians get their laughs at the expense of others.
