I dyed my hair a few days ago, and it turned a grayish-orangish color. I want to re-dye it to cover the uglyness, but I'm afraid it will get fried. My hair feels soft now, so I don't think there's too much damage. Please help!! Thank you!!

A couple things:

- Dying it a darker color will be the least damaging (think chestnut brown)

- If you want to go lighter, I would see a stylist. It will involve removing the first color, possibly bleaching and re-dyeing. Definitely too much chance for damage to try yourself unless you feel very confident.

- Either way, invest in a good deep conditioner like Redken's All Soft Heavy Cream to keep your hair soft and not brittle.

First go to the store where you bought the dye and ask for a removal kit. Then remove and wait until you know you have the best color out there that you can find look everywhere before you go and dye it again also you want to make sure that you don't dye it many times because when you dye your hair the dye gets in the system of your body and if you get pregnant you will have a chance of it messing up your baby. But once or twice is fine.!

Why don't you get a really good conditioner to put on it after you color it? I've done mine twice in a row and it's been fine. A beauty supply store should have a conditioner that you can leave on for 10 minutes and it helps a lot. I use ION Effective Care Treatment. Good luck!

You need to wait a least 2 weeks before you can re dye it. Putting to many chemicals in it so soon will make your hair fall out.

Make sure to deep condition your hair first. Such as: hot oil treatment or putting mayo in it for about 15 minutes. Do a deep condition a couple days later again.
You should be fine...

You need to remove the first color you dyed it with. They sell kits in the store to remove the color. Its for hair color gone bad.
