My co-workers have told me that there's this divorced woman (early 40's, but looks YOUNGER), at the office, who seems to find me attractive. This statement has also been claimed by the woman's closest female friend.
The problem is: She's OLDER than I am, but looks good.
However, when I see her, she acts like there's nothing going on and greets me as if she HAD to.
For example, today she acted TOTALLY CARELESS towards me. She didn't neither look at me (NOT even once), nor did she GREET ME. Plus, whatever file (paperwork) she was suppossed to give me, she would pass it to me through her best friend, so that she would have NO contact to me, I guess.
Her closest female friend, though, ALWAYS teases her while I am nearby.
I am very curious whether this all is true or not or whether this could be part of just a joke. How can I find out?

Well I am sure she finds you cute and adorable but run the other way. Only a desperate woman of 40 would look at someone young enough to be her son. If you wee my son...I'd make a personal visit to go and tell her too.

Why can't a 40 year old like you? If you are cute, you are likable to all ages. Do you think when you are older you will like only older people? Young body is beautiful, full of energy, etc.
Don't worry finding out - she likes you! Maybe even too much, so she has to control herself. But... the attraction is not everything. When you will get older you will understand it too.
So, leave it alone. It might feed your vanity, but don't mess up with her, because you will hurt her. It is already a problem for you that she is older! So just drop it.
A woman at 40 would not expect or believe in a serious relationship with a young guy. But crashes do happen...She might just look for some kind of a fling just to juice up her boring life or get some self-esteem going (I am still an attractive woman... and I am so lonely)
I believe that it is quite possible that two souls find each other regardless of the ages of their bodies... but it does not sound that this is a case.

You both work together in an office envirnoment which makes the situation rather delicate. This woman is using caution so that the others don't pick up on the fact that she likes you. I would suggest speaking to her privately or inviting her out for coffee if you really want to know where you stand with her. Be careful of office gossip though.

I think this woman does like you but is afraid to admit to anyone but her close friends that she likes someone so much younger then herself. Hence why she ignores you. She probably does not want to put herself out there when she could get rejected. If you are interested you should make a move but not in an aggressive way. Slow and smooth...

Ewww in case you like previous take carry of She is in simple terms enjoying video games reason older women try this. discover somebody on your age bracket. There would desire to be some thing incorrect together with her if she is in her 40's and nonetheless unmarried.

dude! just aske her! if the answer is yes and you are attractive to her ask her out. she may be acting that way because she is shy, or doesnt think you are interested in her. take my advice and do what you want with it, but when i was in my early 20's i dated a woman who was 14 years older than me, it was awesome, most older women will do things to you, for you, with you or let you do things to them that most younger women wont even consider, if you catch my meaning. suck it up and ask her out especially if she is attractive. oh yeah most older women can cook really good to. double meaning there also. GO FOR IT!!!

A 40 year old woman is not going to openly flirt with you at the office.shes too smart. You'll have to be the one to initiate any sort of flirting.
But beware of the cold shoulder. They could just be pulling your leg.

its possible, but find someone your own age she just thinks you interested it always makes older women feel good when younger guys are interested.
