I've used Itunes forever but got a new MP3 player and since Itunes only works with Ipods, I decided to switch to WMP. When WMP searches my computer for music and media, some folders (such as my Gomez music folder) is imported as "unknown artist/genre/album" and the only thing correctly imported is the name of the songs. So when I search WMP for "Gomez" it is no where to be found, but the song is there. If I search for "unknown" I cannot view all the files that were imported that way. If I search for the name of the song, I can view it and play it. Itunes correctly views my Gomez files, but WMP does not. A fix for this? Or is there a hack to use other MP3 players with Itunes?

A. You are using a BETA version of WMP. BETAs are unproven versions of a program and usually, if not ALWAYS, do NOT work properly.

Also, you may want to do some research on these terms: " DRM ", " C.R.A.P. "...___seriously__, do the C.R.A.P thing and watch the podcast, " DMCA ", " RIAA " and " MPAA " by copying and pasting them, MINUS the " marks into your browser.

There's not enough room here for what you need to know about these things! To give you a start you can go to http://p2pnet.net and go through their archives.
