This occurs because people don't know how to think critically, and because they use television as a primary source of information. They are enamored with celebrity, and if someone of note (celebrity-wise, etc) makes a statement, the individual is often swayed. That is why commercials use them as spokespeople.
Because people don't have comprehension, nor can they think critically, they are deceived by those who have the flashiest gimmicks, rather than substance.
It is a shame.

Mad? No...sad, definitely.
Today we live in a world of instant gratification and the willingness to believe in anything that hints of conspiracy or government complicity? Is our government always right. Absolutely not. But it is the only one we have and there are legal avenues to change things we don't like...elections, impeachment, amendments to the constitution. And this is true for all levels of government.
People who blindly believe every video and "report" they see without actual evidence need to do some research on their own...form their own opinion based on facts. And people that blindly believe in our government...need to do the same.

It's easier for some people to believe it's some government conspiracy. That way when Bush is no longer President we'll be safe and everyone will live in peace and harmony. The idea that there are foreign people that want to slaughter us and destroy Western Culture is too scary. So basically, I feel sorry for them.

Isn't it amazing how quickly a great people like the people in the U.S. can turn so quickly simply due to a little propaganda? People have problems and it is convenient to take that frustration out by joining a bandwagon like this. Sad, but convenient.

False videos...that describes all the staged "bin Laden" videos, right? Bush broadcasts a bin Laden video, and all you fools start your two-minutes hate against a non-existent phantom.

That people believe a hollywood movie is fact in these cases, proves to me that stupid is the new norm for the world. We need a slatewiper to cull the herd and fast. I wish I could invent one.

It infuriates me. People are basically lazy and anxious to jump to conclusions. I've seen questions and answers on this web site that uses MOVIES to base an opinon on.
