Modus Operandi which translates (from the latin) as method of operation.
Usually used by police to describe a crime that has the similarities to another crime ("It's got the same MO as the Tapwater murder, sarge").
Could be used on the dating scene, I suppose ("You've got to watch for Jimmy Hopeless, his MO is just so predictable").
