"Psychologists have demonstrated time and time again that one's beliefs show very little correlation with one's actions."
So you are arguing that all the atheists are going to church and praising God while all the theists are staying home Sunday watching the big game on TV? Fascinating.

i imagine someplace between the time we are born and the time we modify into adults, there comes a aspect at the same time as the mind takes over the non secular. it truly is the point the position we start up to question the justifications behind our blind faith. some persons are waiting to analyze and discard impractical beliefs, and carry on to a pair beliefs that are innocuous yet functional. yet another note, we start up to justify through declaring such issues as, "particular, there is no Santa Claus, yet what's incorrect with seeing the smile on a baby's face if he thinks there is one?" Stuff like that. This good judgment can happen only with information, as some one suggested in a unmarried or the solutions. information is proportional to adulthood. Does that make atheists extra mature? it ought to, yet there are a lot of real believers accessible, with a lot of information, who're only as mature. Sorry to assert, pricey Linz, yet atheists do no longer have the exclusivity on that turf....

The most important thing is not being a sinner, because contrary to popular belief, the Bible declares two ways to get to Heaven: follow the law and be perfect, or accept the sacrifice of Christ who took your punishment for breaking that perfect law. Unfortunatley, only Christ could perfectly follow the letter of the law, which leaves that first option out for all the rest of us. So then, the important thing us option 2, accepting God's free gift and believing. So in that sense, both are important.

My beliefs help create my actions, but I do not feel that ones beliefs have to be based on an archaic moral code that does not fit with modern society. Look around, help your fellow human being and leave the dogma out of it.

Your beliefs are your own personal choice, and if never made known to the world would have an effect only on you.
Your actions affect every aspect of your life, both personal and private, and also everyone around you.
Your actions far outweigh your beliefs.

The most important thing is repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ's gift to us, salvation. The actions will follow if it is truly from the heart.
The action of truly believing in Jesus and accepting his gift of the cross is what matters.
Belief - You can believe all you want, he Satan and the demons BELIEVE that Jesus/God exists, but they do not follow the word.
Actions - All the greatest actions in the world will not give you salvation, it is not something you can earn, it is a GIFT from God made possible by God the son, Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross.

Love your av. FSM is awesome.
I believe the better of the two is to do the right thing without giving all the credit to religious belief/power.
Who you are on the inside is much more important than who you proclaim to be.

My understanding is:
God wants us to act properly but forgives when we do not.
God requires us to believe in God.
For my life eternal belief is the most important for God's will of eternal life for all, Action is most important.

In this day and age, it is hard to find people truly believe in what they do and keep to it.
I have heard somewhere:
God is dead.
However, I have yet to hear:
It is our responsibility to uphold moral.
Time for people to think hard about things -- religious or not.
