Hmmm.... It bothers me. Why? Am I prejudice? I think it's becasue of the size of it and the location. And the power behind it. It is true that people are afraid of what they do not understand. It frightens me that locals are not going to have a say in the matter.

Britain needs to stop being scared of offending certain groups. It's getting out of hand.

Well, I live in London and, I have seen a lot of churches that are closed, transformed into homes, pubs, restaurants etc. but, whenever I pass through a mosque in prayer time, becuse it is so full, there are people praying, let alone in the garden, but eaven on the pedestrian pavement on the street. Especially on friday prayers. and this is a fact that I am a witness.

There's a mosque less than a mile from my house. Six months ago it was a christian church, I don't know what the hell is going on, since the muslims live on the other side of town, and they have about a million mosques over there, already. i can only conclude they're looking for new recruits in the christian communities.

I'm not sure its a good idea.

Would a Muslim country let the worlds biggest Christian church be built in their country ?

So why should we when the majority of the British population have absolutely no interest in Islam.

Why not..
if that's mean something it means that Islam is a religion of truth...

Look you may not agree with me...i totally agree...

but have you looked into Islam...the true Islam...don't take Islam from the bad Muslims...take it from your only faith...

are u going to tell me that we are created just like that...no god..

Islam by Arabic means (surrender to the creator = God which is the same God for Christianity and Jewish = Muslims just don't agree that the Christ is the son of God= they say there is only one God )

I'm not inviting you to become a Muslim...
I'm just inviting you to release you self of any negative ideas about Islam...read people ..read..why you don't read..

read for knowledge...not to hate..
being a Christians that's doesn't mean that u can't enjoy your self with the beauty poetry in Quraan..

this, plus the fact that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world only goes to prove that this is a religion that works for the followers, and isn't just madness and violence as the media would have you believe.

I think that I do not care. Europe is not "Christians only" or "Christians rule." If Muslims can build a mosque that happens to be larger than any other place of worship in Europe, good for them.

As long as they don't start making us follow shariah laws just for PC. Then fine if they've got the money who's to stop them building it.

That's interesting... but, Islam IS the fastest growing religion in the world, so that makes perfect sense.
