Try turning off the computer, TV and video games and then playing outside. Just live actively.

On a side note: Don't get into lifting weights. You don't have enough testosterone yet and it can slow down your growth.

20 to 30 minutes a day 3 days a week, running, swimming or if you have access to a gym, an eliptical machine burns the most calories in the least amount of time. It also depends on whether or not you're trying to tone up as well as just burn fat. Talk to your nurse at school if you are overweight, she can give you nutrition (small things you can do at home even if you don't buy/cook your own food) info as well as tips for working out. Also there are a lot of good resources out there for kids your age battling weight issues. Day camps, fun sports like track, PE classes, schools are getting good at this so don't be scared to talk to someone there about wanting to loose weight. It's great you're trying to get in shape, good luck!
