this is going to sound really stupid and childish of me but i feel like killing myself. I get verbally abused every night at home and neither my mom or my dad ever talks to me, at all. most nights i dont even eat. I feel very unloved and have cried every night. im tired of the fact the only time they talk to me is when they yell. i started choking an hour ago because i was crying so hard. what should i do? i feel like i have no point to living

It is not stupid or childish, honey, it is understandable that you are upset. Your parents are very mean to you and YOU DESERVE BETTER! Don't give up hope - there are plenty of people out there who are eager to love you (and deep down your parents probably love you too, even if they can't show it or treat you like they do).
Please go to your school counselor right away. Show them this post and ask for help. You shouldn't have to live in a house that makes you so unhappy - the school can help make sure that your parents change their ways or you move to another home (maybe with a grandparent, aunt, or friend?)
It will be okay, sweetie - there are ways out of this bad situation. Don't give up.

you know I felt the SAME way only a couple of months ago, and every now and again it comes backbut killing yourself isnt the answer, i know im young but i think i do have a little wisdom hehe anyways, you know how you think youve got nothing to live for, well think of all the wrong thts been done to you, then think of all that you can to to make it right for ur child, dont u wanna grow up get married have children. I know I would want to. infact i do! lol so go see a school counselor. all i know is that for me, as soon as i turn 18 and graduate highschool, im outta here. just find a hobby or something -mine is writing- and just let your feelings out, u can make it thru i kno u can, God help u, and God bless u

well first off I'm sorry so much is wrong right now i have been there my mom and dad did the same but i am fine now is there anyone that you can talk to talk to them get it all off you chest i don't know how old you are but this all happened when i was 15 they would not hear me so i put it all in a note for both of them and when i left for school one day i left it where they could see it i put everything in there that i thought i needed to tell them even that they had me for a reason not just to yell at me and never hear what i have to say i am human to i hope this helps

I'm sorry that this is happening to you. :( Talk to friends, teachers, or a school counselor and ask them for help. Try talking to parents, they might not realize that they are hurting you so much. If they do, maybe you need to call the Childhelp USA National Child Abuse Hot Line at (800) 422-4453 or another abuse hot line. Don't commit suicide, you do have a purpose in life. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. If you need someone to talk to, even though you don't know me, feel free to email me. I can try to help you.

Get a job and start saving money so you can move out. Its ashame that youre parents treat you like that and if they really are that cruel and act as if they dont want you around than dont give them the satisfaction of you harming yourself. But I do think that you owe it to yourself and your parents to at least talk with them and let them know how they make you feel. And remember if youre under aged you can always emancipate yourself. I am very sorry to hear that your family life sucks. If you truly feel this way I suggest that as soon as you get to school tomorrow go se the school counselor. She will be able to better assist you on exactly what you need to do. It is very hard to get the full picture and accurate answers on what you should do on a site like this. If you truly feel there is no point in living please contact your school counselor or talk to a trusted teacher for this in the am. They will be glad to help you htats what they are there for. Hope things get better for you. Please dont do anything drastic!

I was in that situation, I know you love your parents and all, but, if they can't take care of you and give you the things a kid needs such as food, then report them in. You should call child services especially if you have siblings. I didn't end up calling that, I ran away from home and got in trouble with the law. Think long and think hard, I hope it all works out.

Sorry to hear your so upset. You have to have someone at school you can talk to. Let them know what going on and I'm sure they will help you. Talk to your friends and see if their parents can help you too. You could also go to your local police and seek help there. Good luck.
