Simplicity has really nice patterns- www.simplicity.com
Just remember- not everyone has to wear the same pattern, I see numerous weddings where the ladies wear the same color in a different dress style and it's beautiful.
Don't worry about everyone not being exactly the same- trying to do that usually means a bm or two are either really uncomfortable or are wearing something that doesn't look good on them.
If she changes her mind try this link for reasonably priced dresses: http://www.uniqueweddings.org/Affiliates.html
as you can always order simple gowns and tailor them to what you need. It ends up costing about the same as making one from scratch- that formalwear material is expensive!
And for all those people commenting about a 15 year old making dresses- HELLO- the dresses you buy at the shops are many times made by children in 3rd world countries. I have seen many MANY teens sew as well as adults. If she's good, she's good and you will see it in her previous work.
Good luck!

Go to a fabric shop or even Walmart and look through the pattern books. I have to agree with the person who asked are you sure you want to entrust your bridesmaid's dresses to a 15 year old? That being said, the dresses don't have to be identical, especially if they're made from the exact same fabric. One other thing, I have had dresses made in the past by nonprofessionals and I have been disappointed every time. Good luck.

Its your wedding so do what you want, my advise to you, buy them. Its easy, they are already made, and you don't have to depend on a 15-year-old girl. What if they look like sh**? or you maid of honors doesn't fit? Go online and look at Davids bridal. There are sizes that fit all body types. Also, for bigger girls, empire waists or a-line dresses look really good.

Take her to Michaels/Hobby Lobby and pick out a pattern together. How good is she? If she can handle complicated patterns, go for it. If she can't, she needs to be there.
Also ask her if this is really possible. It's a nice gesture, but if she can't complete it then there's no shame in buying a dress.

Look in fabric stores. The people that work there usually know what patterns they have and will know what will look good.
Don't underestimate a teenager sewing. My mom showed me pictures of when she was 12-17 and she made all her clothes. It looks like she bought them in a store.
