which came first, the chicken or the egg?
i personlly think that the chicken did. b/c God made the chicken to make eggs. and it does say in the Bible that he made animals, not eggs.

If you are a creationist, the Chicken comes first. If you are an evolutionist, the egg comes first!
Creationism says that God created the birds of the air, and commands/blesses them to multiply. Birds lay eggs to multiply. In Creationism, the chicken comes first.
Macro-evolution says that all forms of life gradually developed over biiiiiillllllllliiiiiiioooons and biiiiiiillllllliiiiooooonnnnns of years, starting as single-celled organisms, and diversifiying into the many species we see today. The ability to procreate by laying eggs was developed by many of the "lower" species: fish, amphibians etc. As they developed into "higher" species, the eggs became more complex, first soft shells (lizards) then hard shells (birds). Chickens are a variety of bird, creatures that lay hard-shelled eggs (among other things). Although the Chicken does lay eggs, the ability to lay eggs was developed by "lower" animals before the species we know of as "CHICKEN" evolved recognizably. In Evolution, the EGG comes first.
I recognize the actions of MICROevolution; it just shows flexibility in a good design. However, the concept of MACROevolution is too much of a leap of faith for me to accept. At some point life supposedly springs up from.....where? NON LIFE? Evolution refutes abiogenesis on one hand, and insists on it with the other! It contradicts itself! I therefore accept Creationism: Life begat more life.

Why would the egg come first? All animals learn from their mothers.
Adam and eve were not created as children you know. Neither was the chicken. (Supposedly) as a theory this is the reason the chicken had to come first...
an egg would never be able to either hatch itself without its mother or learn how to flee from danger, fight or eat.
DUH...
