what can i do to improve my school? just general ideas will suffice thanx.

Break your school down into categories.... Campus improvements (physical plant) such as new buildings, landscaping, painting buildings, etc. Or by departments...can the science dept. use new, updated equipment? Maybe the computer dept. needs new computers. Find areas that can't be funded by government money and help there. Check with the Business manager at your school and find out where the greatest needs might be. Or maybe you want to do something that helps the students directly... a new student center, a better kitchen for the lunch program, new bathrooms... or maybe the sports department could use better equipment. You want to make sure you get a receipt or donation letter... and you can even specify what the money is used for in the future. Maybe you can set up a "trust fund" that allows the school to put it in a high-interest account and use it year after year.

Ask everyone at school to give suggestions both staff and students, after all they know the school best of all. Is it an urban school or village/country school ? Different schools have different needs.Try to use the money to bring joy into the lives of the students .Although necessary, new text -books/desks/chairs do not always do that. Depending on the sum size, what about:- sports items/a swimming pool/ a disco/arts/crafts/musical instruments or perhaps just a small peace full garden to relax in?
