Don't give me any smart remarks (it shows that you aren't open minded ... IGNORANT is the word isn't it? If I were religious I wouldn't put down anyone else's beliefs.

Good point, but Buddha isn't a god...

“I have come to the conclusion that whether or not a person is a religious believer does not matter. Far more important is that they be a good human being”
- The Dalai Lama -

Buddha was a man, a prince of India, he discovered a way to end our suffering and shared it with us. After he died he was not reborn and ceased to exist because Nirvana severed him from the Samsara.

Just David: How exactly did Buddha not teach service to others?

"Full of love for all things in the world, practicing virtue, in order to benefit others, this man alone is happy"
- Buddha -

I'm Catholic and I think it is a shame that there is such hatred between all the groups. While I am firm in my beliefs I look to find the goodness in other beliefs as well. I respect what they have to say and I even admire the way they work. Like Buddhism is all about spreading kindness, compassion, and love. It promotes human rights and nonviolence and speaks out against divorce. Those are some of the same things that my faith strives to do as well.

Yes,

A basic belief of most religions is unity and equality and division goes against them. As a Christian I understand I am a work in progress and so are all other people. This is just one area we all need to work on.

Jehovah teaches deception is wrong.

Allah teaches murder of people of other faiths.
Jehovah teaches forgiveness and reconciliation.

A reward from Allah is an enslaved virgin and sexual gratification.
A reward from Jehovah is spiritual freedom and his friendship.

Buddha teaches piety in the service of the self.
Jehovah teaches us to serve others.

Do you really think they are on the same team?

I think there is only One who is Good, all others are pretenders.
