why don't the British police like black people?
i saw my best friends brother who is black get beaten up and sworne at racially by the police just last month and other people saw and heard them as well. there were three police cars there. we have always known that the police dont like blacks where i live. i dont understand why they still bully young black people especially. i hoped racialism would have gone, but how can it be allowed to go on with the police force in Britain?

If you witnessed a young black male being beaten and abused by police officers, you MUST make an official complaint and statement. You will need to recall dates, times, locations, actions etc. and if possible, shoulder numbers or descriptions of the officers involved.

Don't get me wrong when I say that IF this is what you saw, you have a DUTY to report it. Sadly, in all walks of life there are people who are STILL racist and incidents like this MUST be reported. If it is not reported, then these minority idiots will continue to get away with this type of abuse.

So, my advice, contact your police immediately and make a formal complaint. Also ask your friends brother to make a statement saying what happened to him and any other witnesses to support this complaint.

PLEASE, for the sake of everyone in this country, police officers, ethnic minorities, women, homosexual and lesbian people and people of other faiths and cultures, STAND UP AND COMPLAIN officially.

Hi,
I don't think the police discriminate against just black people but many other types of society. I myself, am White British and grew up on a council estate, over the years i have seen young lads beat up by some of the police. My brother himself was kicked in the genitals by a female dc in a police van. I would like to think these types of discrimination are isolated. However i increasingly see violence and abuse go on in the police force to the young people in my area. I haven't reported these incidents for fear of reprisals. However i hope my experience of this is isolated and i do believe some police officers are genuinely innocent of this........

I have seen black coppers in England.

There are many black police in the USA but blacks still get beat up. And they always say it was because they are black. I have yet to hear a white person say that. What did the black person do to the cops to make them beat him. It was on the news a lot years back when the PCP drug was big. The cops could beat the hell out of them and they would still get up and beat up 3 or 4 cops and one turned over a car trying to get a way. So was he fighting back or was he lieing on the ground with his hands above his head and they were hitting him?

hmmm - where do you live? Have you got the witnesses together and complained? Or do you feel there is no point? Could you go to a support organisation to take you complaint to the police if you feel unable to do so yourself?

I know there are people in the job who are like this - but there are many more who are not. They make everyone look bad. To think that because these idiots with a uniform on represent everyone in that uniform is as bad as they are for abusing your friends brother because he is black. Please dont mistake all police officers for these idiots.

So, you judge the whole police force based upon the actions of a few officers? There is an element of racism in the police force, which should be stamped out. But it is very blinkered to generalise and say the whole lot are racist.

I once saw a police man victimise a disabled woman. Does that make the police force sexist or biased against the disabled? I don't think so.

police have no right to beat anyone up, they have a right to use force when arrest is being resisted...they can be sued.
i do feel the british police is not friendly towards people of colour, i am tan coloured and asked a policeman in central london for directions to westminster palace, he looked me up and down like he smelt crap under his sweaty nose, and then mumbled an explanation, i thanked him and in his dull eyes flickered some recognition at my polite response. Generally when i see people stopped by the traffic police, its blacks (i've once or twice driven without a tax disc on its last or just over) and i've never been stopped. its generally indians or blacks or albanians....do they look suspicious?? why do they get stopped more often than white british? defend them all you like, but those defenders make it hard for other people visiting our beautiful countries...

i do not belive a word that utters from you lips son so grow up and find another agenda... the police is to regulated and you must be refuring to the sweaty seventies

the same goes for white people, why do black people always play the race card? the police dont just stop black people, they stop anybody black or white, and treat them the same,i have seen one of my family members treated exactly the same, and yes,he was white,if a black policeman arrested a white person, and hurt him how come thats not rascist? but if a white policeman hurts a black person, they're quick to play the rascism card, and no i'm certainly not rascist, but i do agree in the saying if your black you can get away with murder,oh yeah, get hurt getting arrested, but then play the race card and get off scott free, black or white you get treated the same.just thats the blacks claim rascism, bollocks.

Have you met ALL of the British Police?
That is nearly as bad as a Policeman saying
"Why are all black people criminals?"
The individuals who hurt your friends brother should be flogged.
But they are NOT the whole Police Force.
