If you have an unused dish scrubber around, rinse off the skin of the potato and then scrub with that (they take off the skin nicely - but for health reasons its VERY important it be unused).

Another option is just a good washing in warm water and eat it with the skin on, which has more health benefits.

I'm thinking a vegetable peeler. Actually, I usually cut out the bad spots and just leave the peel on. Lots of vitamins that way!

Ever heard of a potato peeler? Yeah they are these little things that make peeling potatoes a hell of a lot easier and faster too. You can get one at your local store.

they have potato peelers! I love them so much! the best ones to get are by Farberwear or Kitchen aid! look for those they stay sharp for awhile and so convenient
