I have a curling iron, but it's not big so the curls it creates are usually tighter than the ones in this picture. Is it still possible to use it to achieve this wavy affect, though? And also, what sorts of products should I use to create it? The more detailed the answer, the better!

you need large rollers...roll the hair wet with a little mousse and let dry on the roller....finish off with a little arisol hairspray...you can get rollers at walmart for about $5-10 depending on brand...large jetset rollers are the quickest to dry....

or you can buy a large curling iron 1 1/2 inch to 2 inches will work..just take your hair in 2in by 2in sections and when dry spray with a small smmount of arisol hairstray and then curl all over your head from the ends to the scalp...you can brush it aferwards and you will have large waves....the curling iron at walmart are about $12

You can either use a crimper. Or you can use this styling gel, and then you just crimp it with your fingers, untill it looks the way you want it to.
