4 years until last May I started dating someone and during this time he became weird. Asking me" why are you dating someone" My answer was "Because I want to be in a relationship and have something serious" He then seemed upset so then I stated "You never seemed intrested" then nothing else was said. Things didnt work out with this other man so we finaly broke up. Now here he is and I don't know what to do with him. I know if I want him I have to move slow but then he is my best friend, Dear God what do I do?

Girl, the answer is right in front of you. Obviously, your best friend wants to be more than your best friend, but he is shy to say so. Also, a best friend of the opposite sex is love. Hey, I married my best friend. I love her, and I thank god every day for her. Just ask him where he see's the relationship in, lets say, a year. Take it slow, one step at a time and just ask.

He could have been upset when you were dating for two reasons - 1) losing a friendship or 2) He is interested in you.

If the answer is 2, he may be afraid to date you and lose the friendship if things don't work out.

The real question for you is - are you interested in him or is he convenient? If you are interested in your friend than you need to talk to him and tell him how you feel honestly.

Something like that happened to me 4 yrs ago; I had a bestfriend (guy) and we had a nice friendship but one we started a romance, everything went away!!!! because you know how he is, you know what he likes and everything about him, so dont put your friendship in that risky situation. If it doesnt work out, you wont be able to be friends anymore. It may turn that you guys are one for the other; but you never know. and for what U said I dont think you like him so much as a boyfriend; I think you just love him as a friend or a brother. If I was you, I wont do it.

If you are good friends. Talk it over, tell him you want him but that you need to take it slow. A good friend would understand and want the same. GO FOR IT!
