Being an immigrant is not being illegal, look in the dictionary for the definition of immigrant. There are laws in this country, there is a procedure for gaining citizenship to the United States of America and sneaking across the borders (either one of them) is not included. If you should rob a bank-that's illegal, shoot another person-that's illegal, jaywalk on a street -that's also illegal) come across the borders without following procedure-that's illegal as well. Breaking the law in any fashion is illegal

Do you know what you are asking. Do you even know what the difference is between legal and illegal immigration.
Immigration is only illegal if you come illegally without permission, legal immigration is with permission. Illegals need to go back and legal immigrations are fine by law. One cannot sneak in and then want to be treated as if all is hunky Dorey. Illegal is breaking the law and entering. Legal immigrants are not breaking the law and are allowed in LEGALLY.

This is the dumbest question ever. There is both illegal and legal immigration. Immigration as a stand alone is simply saying that somebody moved from one place to another. Without more information, no one can make a judgment about it. Of course immigration CAN be illegal, and it can be legal too. If you are talking about Mexicans walking over the border, or swimming the Rio Grande, then that is ILLEGAL immigration. And they should be arrested and drop kicked back into Mexico.

America has always had an immigration policy and always will. Anyone wanting to immigrate to this country applies to do so at the nearest American Embassy and they go on that country's list. Those in imminent danger of being killed by the government can apply for asylum at an American embassy. We have a quota for each country. I believe Mexico has the highest and most generous quota. And still they send millions across our borders sapping this country of billions of dollars and diluting and destroying our culture. Understand this: No country in the history of the world has survived after giving into multiculturalism, that is allowing more than one culture to prevail. We are at risk of nearing that point. London is all but gone due to the generous immigration policy toward Muslims - since curtailed after the riots of 8 months ago and the bombings, etc.
No illegal immigration can be allowed because the country cannot continue to exist as America!
Legal immigration continues but all must learn to speak English, study our culture and history, become employed and swear allegiance to the U.S. NOT their country of origin.
That is the final word!!!!

You do know there is a difference between an immigrant and an illegal alien right?
Nobody has a problem with immigrants. They are all documented. We do however have a problem with criminals that sneak over the border? What I want to know is why is this so hard for people to understand? Have we dumbed down beyond any sense of logic?

No, immigration is only illegal when people decide to get into a country without papers. I stand up only for legal immigrants.

immigration itself is not illegal, it is all in HOW one relocates to their new home, whether or not they fill out documentation or not, etc....
there is nothing wrong with immigration, that is what populated this country....but people then went through proper channels and became citizens, learned our language, added to their communities, conformed somewhat to a new country and did not demand the new country conform to them.....they took pride in their new country. It was a win/win situation. Now, when anyone comes to any country illegally it not only detracts from the importance of becoming a citizen, but it depletes a nations resources better spent on it's own citizens.

Immigration is not illegal if the immigrant enters the country obeying the laws of that country and providing proof of identity and location to that country.

The only immigration that is illegal is illegal immigration, which is what happens when you sneak into the country.
