Sri Lanka you can usually get a decent price at this time of year...a hell of a lot cheaper than spain in august for example...Watch out for the culture shock though. I used to be unemotional about other countries way of life, but when I saw the poverty and the way some of the people (Tea pickers) were treated it hit a note

Dom Rep, best time of year is our winter, especially around the last couple of weekends in Feb as it's their Independance Celebrations (great weekend long street parties). The weather is great, the people are friendly (don't believe the rubbish about not going out of the complex), the scenery is spectacular (filmed Jurassic Park there), the food is good and the drink is cheap.

Flight times are about 8 hours for the north of the island and 9 for the south. All Inclusive deals for two weeks can be got from about £500 - £600. If you can afford the extra go to the south of the island (true Carribean) but the north is good in it's own right (just avoid Luperon).

What more can be said, great holiday weather and price.

Barbados!! Flight prices varies, but if you don't care about being at the fanciest, I can recommend Pegwell Inn GuestHouse in Welches (where across the street is a plaza called Southern), that plaza has bank, supermarket, gas station, travel agency, shoes store, stuff like that, especially a barber shop called Fader's. I have friends who work there, great people, and good prices. :)

If you choose 2 weeks, you can get a room at Pegwell Inn for less than 400 or a little more than that in Barbadian currency which is by far the cheapest, I think it's less than 300.00 Canadian. Rosemary is the woman's name there, she got a little bar there, too.

The guesthouse has 4 rooms -- Price varies, all you have to do is contact Rosemary if you're interested. 246 428-6150 is the number in case.

Hope you find the information useful. I have a lot of friends in Barbados, I can even ask my best friend there for you if you want more information regardings to this beautiful country. I can be contacted via e-mail at: totally_del@hotmail.com .

How about Bali (Indonesia)? I love the place!! The flight there is costly, but once you get there.... you're in heaven and life is very cheap if you are not over demanding. Nice clean hostels and hotels in all possible price ranges, great food for less than 50ct, good swim, great surf, friendly people, fine shopping and the island is sooooooo beautiful!!!

Winter time flights are cheaper early December and after January 15th. Cheapest season is March.

the main inexpensive in Europe is definitely Bulgaria. stay in a village on the coastline. only approximately everybody is renting out low-priced lodging. food, cigarettes and beer are stable and actual extra value-effective than everywhere else in Europe. (via the way in case you understand a place the place i will get a sandwich and a lager for some million.50 Euro - i might bypass there).

Costa Rica is nice, but not spend any time in the capital go strait to the beaches in the Pacific Ocean in Guanacaste and go to the national forest reserve of Monteverde. Also Saint Thomas, Virgin Island are great but is more expensive.

South Africa isn't cheap!!!!!!!!!!! I would recommend either Egypt or Morocco. Egypt is particularly cheap at the minute and you'll have a fantastic holiday.
