sure, some people know how to talk to others and laughter is the best way to form bonds with people. Bush could learn from him....well Bush could learn from a lot of people.

Bozo the Clown would make a better President than Bush(league.) Seriously though almost anyone can do better, just ask them!
Remember though John Stewart is an entertainer and not a politician. I really doubt he could be successful without holding a lower office first. The ins and outs of politics makes it hard to get into cold turkey.
Stewart also has time to meet his guests in advance and go over what will happen and rehearse what they will do on air. It also helps that most of the rest of the worlds leaders have a since of humor. (Unlike Bush and his henchmen.)

Diplomacy is an art form that has much greater consequences than that of comedy. Stewart is free to make jokes and laugh with Musharrif because they both know the fate of two nations is not hanging on the words spoken. When Politicians speak, especially leaders of countries, they speak for themselves last, their people second and their national integrity first. Bush is not good at this, in fact he is streets behind Clinton, but he is netter than John Stewart who can live with speaking his truth because no-one is going to suffer because of his words.
Actually Clinton is now in a position to speak truth with the authority of who he was because of that very fact, No one will die because of it

Jon Stewart is a clown, his job is to entertain(usually fails at that) not to run the most powerful nation in the world. Being on T.V. or in movies does not qualify someone to be involved in politics, An actor is a trained liar and we already have to many of them in politics, look at Bill and Hillary they can't even tell each other the truth. Watch a comedian but do not confuse joking with the ability to be both a diplomat and the leader of the free world.

If you mean Jon STEWART, yes, I think he'd be a vastly better president. He knows actual diplomacy and takes logical, well thought out positions on everything from the pope to the internet.
I think Stephen Colbert should be VP... and so do these people ;)(click the link)

i read his book, he couldnt be any worse, at least he wrote a book, i doubt bush could even read one. Too bad this country chose him on a couple nonissues his political machine made seem important. If we had wanted brains and political experience in a president we would have voted for gore. Maybe people figure a smart guy in office would be dangerous.
