the only thing i have is a certificate of completion.

If you already graduated and want your actual diploma, I would contact the high school administrative office and request a copy of your diploma. If you got a GED outside of your high school, then I think you're out of luck.

If you graduated you should already have a diploma. But if you dropped out or got kicked out for some reason, you can't really go back to school unless you're still of age. So the only choice you have is to get your G.E.D.

But usually a "certificate of completion" is also referred to as a diploma. It's basically the same thing. Where I go to school it is anyway.

Write to the state department of education in the state that you graduated. Explain that you'd like a copy of your diploma. I'm not sure, but it might cost $10.00 or so.
