Socialism by definition is totalitarianism. By controlling one commodity you bar the populace from entering into the same market and to enact socialism you must take over by force the already existing business.

Che wanted the US wiped out. He was a mass murderer who tortured and killed many ever hear of La Cabana prison?

Socialism plays well into the mindset of people with low end jobs because they blame the "machine" for putting them there when capitalism stresses your situation is your own doing.

Che's conversion into pop icon and fashion statement is simply capitalism having the last laugh.

Because they are rebellious teenagers and even adults, who want a better government instead of the corporate, bureaucratic, and narcissistic one they see. Guevara was a revolutionary and carried that same rebelliousness in him. They don't think about the corporate marketing behind the t-shirts but the image and symbol of Guevara himself and he would be happy to know there are people out there who actually knew who he was and what he gave his life for.

It cracks me up to see people against immigrants wearing Che's picture.
