Why are Culver burgers called Butterburgers. I have been wanting to try one, but the closet place is 45 min. away and if they aren't any good would be a waste of time to go. Let me know what you think of them.

CULVER'S IS AWESOME! Make sure to try their custard too!!! they ROCK!! They call it a butter burger like BK has the Whopper. Other than that I am not sure. Try looking on their website. But I can tell you that they do taste Very good and top of the bun may have butter on it...but not wet with butter or anything. They make it when you order it so it is always fresh every time. Like a restaurant but fast food drive thru. Not too expensive or anything either. DEFINITELY WORTH THE TRIP!

They sound very tasty, I assume they are a fancy burger. Have you checked them out online for information here's what I found on their website ...

"ButterBurger® is a burger made from fresh, ground chuck blend that is 100% U.S. beef. It is seared on a hot 475º F grill to seal in flavor and sandwiched between a lightly buttered, toasted bun (hence the name "ButterBurger®").

ButterBurgers are made just the way you like them. You can order them plain, with cheese and with any combination of condiments you like such as pickles, ketchup, mustard, onions, tomatoes and lettuce.

Wish I lived in the US!! Enjoy one for me when you get the chance :-)

they're pretty good, not too greasy or anything. Probably not worth a special trip, but worth it if you're going thru the area
