There are actually several web sites that will calculate this for you based on your sex, age, height, weight and an estimate of your activity level. I've actually gotten different results by up to 700 calories per day, so try a few of them.
I'll post a couple of links with these. If you don't like those, just try a Yahoo web search using terms like Calorie and Calculator.

Anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 calories a day, it depends on how active you are, & your food intake.
Be more active throughout the day=burn more calories
Exercise/workout=burn more calories
Be sedentary=burn less calories
Eat more=burn more calories (but make sure you're eating healthy)
Eat less=burn less calories (b/c your body thinks it's starving, so it slows down the calorie burning process. This is why diets don't work)

It depends on what you eat and how active you are. If, for example, you consume 2000 calories a day and aren't gaining weight, then you are burning 2000 calories a day. If you eat 2000 calories a day and gain a pound a month, obviously you aren't quite burning up what you consume.

The average man should take in NO LESS than 1500 calories a day. (Women 1200) Anything less is considered dangerous. Depending on your metabolism and exercise, anything under 2000 should allow you to lose weight. In your exercise, try to build muscle mass, as muscle helps you burn more calories.
