I have been with my BF for almost 3 years and his older brother I think hates me. He is always sarcastic, making jokes and always trying to make me feel bad. i have kept my mouth shut too many times and I am getting fed up...The sad thing is that my bf doesnt say anything. My BF's sister says that its his way of showing affection. HE"S 30 married with a kid, why cant he grow up and leave me alone...

Some people are just like that. That's their way. Maybe that's really how he is & that's why your bf hasn't said anything.
Just give back to him whatever he's giving you, in a joking way of course. If he gets mad at you tell him not to dish it out if he can't take it.

I really don't think anyone can make you feel bad, unless you already think you are. That said.... I treat people like you bf's brother as if the person was mentally ill or retarded. Which means I treat them as if they were a child. After they say something mean I say "Why would you say something like that to a person? It doesn't sound nice." and then I walk away. It is possible he is tongue tied as in what to say to you. But correcting him as indicated above will at least teach him what not to say. It is also best to talk to him first. "HI Joe, did you have get that woodworking project done? " By swaying the conversation right off the bat to talking about him, will help keep the conversation not about you and his weird remarks. I wouldn't try to maintain a long conversation with him. He probably isn't that bright to sustain one. Good Luck

He's jealous of your boyfriend and might even have a crush on you. He is basicly just one big jerk. This is not affection, it's abuse. And if your boyfriend wont stand up for you you need to do it by leaving both behind you. He obviously doesn't love you as much as he says he does. 'Cause if your boyfriend ain't here for you now he won't be later when something really bad happens.

It could be that he just isn't good with people and has low self esteem. I don't know enough about your situation, but it sounds like he just doesn't know how to communicate so he just jokes around all the time to cover up his inabilities. Try talking to your boyfriend and maybe he can talk to him for you since you two aren't really close. good luck!

tell him that if he wants to show affection, send flowers. if he doesn't want to do that, he should leave you alone. take him aside and tell him that his jokes aren't cool with you. i did that with one of my friends and she hasn't made any jokes like that around me since and we're still friends.

It is up to your BF to put an end to this. If he won't, he has a very weak character. I would not put up with it.
