Try this; it should give you gorgeous loose curls/waves!

1. Style your hair the way you normally would. Use a product such as mousse or gel and either air dry or use a diffusing hair dryer on a cool air setting. Second day hair is fine if your roots are not too oily. Before starting, use a heat-protectant gel or spray.
2. Section your hair into lots of even pieces and secure them with non-metal ties or braids.
3. Always begin with the underneath pieces of hair and work your way to the crown or top of your head.
4. Using a large barreled curling iron on low heat, take one section and place the end of your curl near the handle of the iron. Do not open the clip of the iron; simply and loosely wrap the entire section around the outside of the barrel, making sure to overlap the end so it will stay.
5. Hold the hair for up to a minute, then carefully remove it from the iron (more or less as to the thickness of your hair). Since the hair is not clipped to the iron, it may fall off the iron. Just carefully wind it around again and hold.
6. Repeat for every section.
7. Do not comb through. Using your fingers, carefully relax the curls into waves. Toss your hair and spray it lightly with a flexible hold finishing/shining hair spray if needed. (hot curls--Loreal'--works great)

good luck!

I have naturally curly hair, my problem is that it would stay in ringlets around the front and underneath but the rest of my hair would be frizzy and straight. so at night before i would go to bed i would get my hair wet and towel dry it so that it was a little more than damp.than i would add a conditioning curl enhancer such as noodle head- any sort of a curl enhancing product should work. i would then comb some mousse through my hair. my hair is now prepared to roll into curlers- with out frizzing. use a medium to small size roller- i have even used little strips of rags which make it easier to sleep in- in the morning gently unroll the curls and spray them with hair spray.

My hair won't even curl with a curling iron, the only thing that worked for me was to put velcro rollers in wet hair and sleep on it. The curl lasted 3-4 days with no washing

You should buy rock hard curls by Paul Michelle, apply the product while your hair is still wet then blow dry and style. Trust me it will work I have the same problem and so far this is the only product I have tried that actually works. You can get it at Sallys beauty supply for under 15.00

Good luck !!!

Lots of gel and scrunch, scrunch, scrunch while SOFTLY blow drying it. They spray it with a hairspray that isn't too heavy (that will weigh it down). Or you can get a body wave but that hurts your hair.

Talk to your hairdresser, maybe they can give you a cut to help maximize your chance of waves.

I know I had BONE straight hair and then I turned 26 and now it is wavy and I LOVE IT!!!

I use Catwalk "curls rock" its good stuff, it holds the curl all day. Also, Hask, Pure Shine Spray - On Luminator seems to refresh the curls!!!

I use that Aussie curl enhancer or whatever it is, and then I spray the heck out of it with hairspray.
