While atheists are generally perceived as not believing in an afterlife (which covers a large portion of the population), there are those who do believe in an afterlife. There is merely no supreme being. This afterlife can be very different for different people. While Buddhism does not necessarily require a lack of belief in a religion, the philosophy (often regarded as a religion) does not rely on the existence of a supreme being, and yet there is a form of afterlife.
Just wanted you to see some of the other beliefs floating around out there. The common belief is that it is over and our bodies decompose.

According to Dante in his "Divine Comedy" most Atheists would wind up in the first circle of hell - reserved for "virtuous pagans," those people who weren't sinful but never accepted Christ.
Assuming as an atheist you weren't also some other kind of sinner.
Not all Chrsitians go to heaven, remember. What you say to the world and what you know in your heart are two different things. I would watch out for anyone who's sure they will see their preferred afterlife.

They are no longer Atheists (An Atheist does not believe in God)
So when they die , they will believe then, so that no longer makes them Athiests.

Well this is a brilliant question....
There are 2 places we can go....when we die.
One is into the home as it were of God..Heaven.
The other is Hell.
If you don't love Jesus and follow Him....then your on the other side of the coin as it were.....so your unable to enter the place they call Heaven.God would not allow, people in because it would turn into living Hell..................Hell is a dreadful place and is for all eternity.This life...we are to seek and find God!.simple, like a test as it were...But! if you are sorry for all the bad things you do...you can ask Christ to take that from you...And ask for forgivness....But yours/ mine/ and others/ sin, can not enter heaven.......on our own ......we need to ask for God to forgive us......So an Atheist go's to hell......simple.

Atheists believe that they are going to the oblivion or cease to exist but believers know that when we all die that believers will go to Heaven and atheists who are unbelievers will go to Hell after judgment day!

Genesis 3:19 says "For dust you are and to dust you will return." Adam did not exist before Jehovah God created him and when Adam died, he simply returned to the ground and becoming nonexistent. So, all humans die in this manner regardless of their religious beliefs.

You're asking the wrong question. It's not "what happens to atheists" and "what happens to believers". It's "what happens to everyone according to atheists" and what happens to everyone according to believers".
What happens to everyone according to atheists is simply nothing. We disappear.

What happens to Christians when they die? what about the other religions...everyone has theories but we can't make sure any of these are true...
Atheists maybe just don't have any theory ...

Fire tourture suffering blackness in the sky you breathe in sulfur maggots eat you. You suffer from you worst sin, no food no water just eternal pain and suffering others there trying to get out when you can't get out. If you meet someone who made you a atheists you will try to killl them but you will not be able to.

The Atheists meet their maker when they die, and ask HIM, where is the Real one. Even God cannot argue with the Atheists.
