I've had and I am sure I'll have in the future very good experiences with Christians. My family is Catholic and while my parents did try to force me to continue attending church after I'd told them I'm an atheist, I don't begrudge them for it. I understand why they did and know they "meant well". Many of my friends are either Christian or otherwise theistic in some fashion. Several tell me that I'm a wonderful Christian (besides my lack of belief in a deity).

Yes, I went to church for awhile and everyone there was really kind and friendly to me. Nobody pressured me to convert, and I didn't have to hear about going to hell and all this other stuff. Fact is that modern religion is adapting to the lifestyle of modern people. Problem is that this is just one experience of religion in San Francisco. Anywhere else religion could be totally different and out of hand. I have had an encounter or two with fanatics.

I have stated more than once in this forum that I have Christian friends I admire and look up to. What's more, I greatly admire the work that Christians do to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and house the homeless and encourage my fellow Humanists to rise to their excellent example.
I have attended many houses of worship--Christian, Jewish, Wiccan, and Islamic--and never yet had a bad experience.

I can say from experience that I have had no problems with any christians or any other religion for that matter. To me it depends on the person and how willing they are to except someone not like them.

atheists and christians can get along just fine, just so long as they don't try to push their beliefs onto one another. i happen to be an agnostic atheist and was once very good friends with a devout christian. we would even joke around about our beliefs every once in a while, but not to the point where we would try to convert the other person.

In the age that we live in, I don't think there is an atheist, whose parents aren't Christians (unless they're a part of another religion altogether). I have pretty good experiences with my parents.
Also, what is the point of your question?

Yes. Atheists don't hate Christians. Disagreeing with a religion doesn't mean disagreeing with the follower.

I'm not an athiest, but I am fairly anti-christianity, and yes, I have had good experiences with christians, the open-minded ones that is.
Christians are still just people, some of them are still okay in my book.

I've have friends who are Christians. I have no problems with them in fact they are good friends. I've never had a good experience with an evangelical or fundamentalist christian though.
