Having pity on all living creatures is placing oneself in a position above all living creatures.

Believing oneself to be noble because one believes he or she has pity on all living creatures is arrogant, unconfirmable, and self-promoting.

Believing that all living creatures need to be pitied presumes that there is nothing higher than the living creatures that one sees with one's own eyes. Because it is only he or she who does not believe in God's grace and mercy that believes there is any reason to pity at all.

Buddha looked within himself to rise above existence. Buddha did not understand that the way to rise above was to go to that which is above him. In other words, one cannot seek something higher than oneself and find it within oneself, for what is within that which is low is not--cannot be--in any way higher.

If I am looking for that which is noble, for example, and I ain't it, then I am not going to find nobility in myself. If it doesn't exist there, it doesn't exist there.

It is only transformation through God's grace that is higher than anything a human being can achieve on his or her own steam, however intent his or her search.

I don't need buddha to tell me that compassion is a virtue.I knew it before I ever heard of him. That's what I think ot it.

That's true, if one has true concern for all living things especially our fellow human beings, the world woudn't be in the mess that it has been since the beginning of time.
