Be it mexican or salvadoranian the ones who cross the border illegally do so for work. The ones who cross legally do so to go shopping and spend mega cash and pay lots of sales tax which they do not profit from. Americans cross into mexico to get laid, drunk or buy drugs and a few as tourists, very few. Tijuana is the busiest border crossing. and the only thing to do in Tijuana is go to the bars or strip clubs, massage parlours where you cant get a massage 1000's of pharmacies which will sell things they shouldnt but with 20 dlls a dr. will write you a prescription. There are also 1000's of americans who live in Tijuana illegally and no one says a word as long as they arent bothering anyone who cares. If there were no illegals in the fields how many citizens are willing to go out there and pick for 20 a day for a 10 hr day 6 days a week. Sure there has to be some kind of control but people are getting ridiculous. noone ever said anything before about them so why now?

What really amazes me is how everyone one is against farm and field laborors who have crossed over to pick the food you eat at a cheap price.and do not have the benefit of health insurance. No one will be able to afford lettuce if regular wages have to be paid for a citizen to pick it. Everyone acts like these short little mexicans are such criminals and yet no one says a word about all the millions invading america from the terrorists countries now do they? Why is that? Because they come with cash. Mexicans dont plan on harming the US but all those other people what are their plans? I'm not the one stuck on stupid. Who blew up the twin towers? Sure wasnt a mexican now was it? Sure the borders have to be secure to keep terrorists out and to avoid illegals they should just open camps again where the men go to work and back to the camp. How many of you are willing to go shovel cow crap? Not me. You know who does? Mexicans. I live in TJ so my facts are 100%.

Actually,
even legal Mexican immigrants work in the fields...
but unlike illegal immigrants, they get welfare.
But at least someone is doing it.
I live in Texas, and I have NEVER seen a white person performing sincere manual labor like construction and crop-picking, unless you count the guys driving around in heavy machinery.
The truth is, America is outsourcing, even if it is illegally, because Americans are lazy. There are plenty of legal WHITE Americans who refuse to get a better-paying job, or work in construction, because it would mean they would have to work harder and then get kicked off of welfare.
I don't see many people who are against immigration going out in 100 degree weather, building houses and roads. If they are so against illegal immigration, why don't they do the work illegal immigrants do, for the wages they do, and stop it.
But no - most would rather sit in their air conditioned cubicles and complain about it on Yahoo Answers.

The problem is my friend that the illegals who come into the USA never learn English, they don't know how to drive, they are a burden on our health system, in other words 0 assimilation. There are an estimated 12 million illegals living in the USA which around 10% are criminals, do the math. That is completely unacceptable. I believe any person can become a good American, the problem is these people have no interest in doing that. They come to work a few years, save their money then go back to Mexico and live a lazy life until the money runs out, then they go back and do it all over again. That is not right and is weakening the USA. I know all of this to be true having lived in Mexico for some time.

The question is NOT about what people want or choose to do . Illegals chose to break US entry laws regardless of their origin or personal desires . US employers choose tobreak US law and profilt from low wage workers. That illegals want jobs/great wages,to send home or to create a new "life" in the US is irrelevent. Same applies to the employers who profit off their backs.
Illegals & employers can claim benefits that result from their CRIME; Both sides can claim "need". These too are also irrelevent as without laws...Chaos reigns.
US citizens are blessed with many opportunities, protected from undue opression and receive many benefits (i.e education,assistance for the needy, medical care ,good roads, utilities and clean water.and a robusteconomy that supports a diverse society. NONE of these thing would or could exist anywhere if LAWS were subject to an individuals belief that their "need"/desire trumps the LAW.
NO ONE on earth is guaranteed a happy prosperous life filled with all the creature comforts ,and good they desire. The USA does provide citizens from MANY countries opportunities for immigration. Sneaking in across a border or simply coming for a visit and disappearing into society is A CRIME
What has made this such a hot topic is simple...Many US citizens realize that waves of undocumented people with unknown intent drain the tax base,which erodes or overhelms the infrostructure. Unknown intent is also dangerous as criminals exist everywhere-to them the US is one of the most lucrative sites to operate. Terrrorist's stated mission is to bring death/destruction to the "evil" US
US citizens like everyone else on this planet want" things" ,have desires/perceived "needs" thay would like the opportunity to pursue BUT obtaining ones desires/needs by choosing to commit a crime is not who ANYONE (sane) wants as a neighbor
South/Central America has much poverty and misery and is geographically close to theUS... Much hue and outcry from "hispanics" is due to the simple fact that vast #'s of illegals originate from below the border. The rants of racism are simple distraction. Illegals from anywhere, regardless of their education,skills, desires and intent are in violation of US law.

We are being Invaded. And Unsecure Borders Let EVERYONE in. Includeing Criminals. As for All who cross the border ILLEGAL do it for work. Well EXACTLY what work was that Illegal doing when he Shot that police officer 4 times in the back of the head while his wife and child were in the car. All you wanna know why the officer pulled the guy over. He was only doing TWICE the legal speed limit. An Officer lost his life because of an ILLEGAL Invader. It MUST STOP NOW. Secure are borders. You idiot the "illegal" americans that you claim to be in Tijuana are putting more money into the Mexican economy than they are using, why the hell do you think Mexican government turns a blind eye to it? The illegal immigrants here are taking out more money than they are putting in, that WHY IT IS FRIGGIN PROBLEM!!!! ITS A PROBLEM when many counties on the border states treat more illegal immigrants in the Emergency Room than US citizens. IT IS A PROBLEM when our public school has more students who speak spanish than speak English. It is a problem when counties have more illegal immigrants in their jails than US citizens, thats a HUGE F**KING PROBLEM IN MY BOOK. It is a huge problem when US citizens are refused medical care b/c they do not have health insurance to pay for it and if they do not have the means to pay for it they get SENT TO COLLECTIONS where there credit score is ruined for years, YET ILLEGALS get free access to medical care and that US CITIZEN who is sent to collections, their tax money pays for the ILLEGALS health coverage. THAT IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR ALL LEGAL AND US CITIZENS!!!!!!
