Christianity is a way of believing, not a religion! So why do people just think all Christian's are the same, believe exactly the same, and worship the same? There are a few churches out there that believe in Christ, which is where the idea of Christianity came from, but those "christian believers" say they're not Christian. So what's the problem?

Christianity means: BELIEF IN CHRIST, not in ONE religion. That's all. Many can be a Christian without belonging to any religion at all! If he believes in Jesus Christ and tries to follow his teachings as best he can, THEN HE'S A CHRISTIAN.

I don't know the whole answer but can tell you that Christianity means one believes that Jesus was the son of God and died for our sins. That is all you need to believe and be a Christian.

As with most of our screwed up world, the religions have broken off into different churches but the Christian churches all still believe in Jesus or they are not Christian.

The Jewish faith also has many different sects. But their basic beliefs are the same.

Leaders like Martin Luther King, Jimmy Swaggert, Oral Roberts, and many others have taken their own views of Christianity and build their churches with those views in mind. Picking and choosing what parts or verses of the Bible to dwell on and somehow they believe that their views are a better way then other Christians. According to most Catholics, their's is the one and only church. And that they were the first Christian church and that all others came from that church. There is some evidence that, that maybe true. The human race has always and will always find conflict. And, of course, most people who call themselves Christians don't really follow their beliefs, at least, not strictly. As a Freemason, I learned more about how to live and act then I would have ever learned from any church. Meet very person on the level, always be level, always expect level.
And that means simply treat everyone the one same, be not greedy, be not superior, and mostly be not a liar or a cheater. Works for me. And I am a Christian. And have never belonged to any church and probaby never will.

Because as "a way of believing," having churches, people worshiping the same beliefs together and sharing the same beliefs...that is the definition of an organized religion...

If it was not a religion it would not have the name, you would not be calling yourself a Christian, you'd be only calling yourself Spiritual.

I'm afraid that your subtle fine points of semantics would be lost on most people....point in fact, all "christianity" is based on the [various] religious beliefs in Jesus Christ; therefore, Christianity is believing in Christ....
semantics don't change the basic tenets

You're no Christian, lady. That's for fuking sure. Not with the racist ideology you hold. How dare you claim to be like Christ when you spew hatred based on race. Explain how that is Christian like? Go ahead, I'm waiting. I thought so. I think you need to go back and refer to your Bible.

For the same reasons that they believe all Muslims or Jews or blacks are the same. Humans like to lump people together and generalize.
