Tell me this is not so. http://www.primechoice.com/philosophy/jihadpages/women.htm
I think all the Muslims that have the luxury of being Muslim in the Western world are doing a lot of lying up here and in real life, and most of all, to themselves. How many of you would pack up right now for Saudi or Iran? What rights would you have over there? As a female? From what I witnessed, not too many more than a goat. Hey, how about Pakistan? How's this for Islam ordering the fair treatment of women? http://www.voanews.com/english/archive/2005-12/2005-12-21-voa51.cfm

http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2006/09/pakistani-women-rally-for-their-right.html

Why do you all put up with this and know full well your "rights" are not sanctioned by your religion, but where you LIVE. It's that simple. It's easy to get up here and in real life in the Western world and holler Islam is fair to women. You have yet to prove your case to those of us who have been there.

Side note: The female rally participants are so brainwashed that they are actually boycotting equality for women. How sad is that? What century did their time machine deposit them in? Did they get the memo that it is 2006?

Bull. I have NEVER read anywhere in the bible, or heard any preacher or follower of Jesus promote the dehumanization of women. Please prove me wrong by pasting a link to the exact scripture. Thanks.

According to the Koran women are granted Equal Rights. It says so in the Koran. Muslim women on Answers espouse this fact all the time. They also say that according to the Bible, Christian women don't have the same rights granted to them, & they are correct. They keep refering to things that happened in the past and they are correct. Those things did happen. This is now, 2006, and things have changed for the better.

The problem arises, and the difference is, when a woman exercise those Equal Rights. One can, one can't.

Western women, until 100 years ago, were the property of their husbands and as such everything that was theirs belonged to the husband. Most of this has been corrected by Civil Law. Unfortunately there is still some way to go, but the West is getting there. There have been great strides made in the past 100 years.

Muslim women, on the other hand, have had those rights for neally 1300 years. It says so in the Koran. The reality is that they are restrained from exercising those rights by Muslim men. The men use the excuse that they are obligated to protect their women.

Muslim women have these rights but are restricted from excersing them. Women have the right to remain silent. Anything they say will be taken down and used against them.

Muslim women have to stay hidden inside. They are only allowed to associate with other women or members of their immediately family. If they are raped the man is given a fine or light sentence while the women is stoned to death for being unclean and bringing shame on the family. Their education in most cases is severely restricted. I they do have an education, they are, in most cases, restricted from using it. (or killed. Sofia Amajan) They are considered by men to not be as intelligent as men in making decisions outside the home. The list is unending.

Is this equality? I think, not.

Equal Rights may not be granted in the Bible. But, it is granted in Civil Law. Most importantly western women do excercise these rights and western men accept those rights.

The Western System may not be perfect but it is better than living in virtually slavery & in the 13th. Century Western time under Sharia Law.

Well said. Just goes to show they are not a religion, but a cult. Neither women nor men can think or reason on their own. They are all in slavery and bondage to a destructive cause. So when a Muslim from which ever sect says that they are not warlike but peaceful ask them to stand against the warlike ones and see their reaction. They can't. I keep saying time and time again a Muslim, is a Muslim, is a Muslim.....The male looked on women as nothing, they are to be used and discard at will.

I'd say they make them thier property, that is what is so sad about thier religion, they are making thier own rules, not following Gods, God is the creator of everything, and when they try to own Gods people, well read exodus in the Bible, about when God chose Moses to free the slaves from the Pharoh, What did God do? When the Pharoh threated all the first born hebrew slaves killed, who died? THe first born of every egyptian, so they make thier own rules, BUT GOD ALREADY HAS HIS.
