you may not be doing anything wrong. take a few hairs (a little section) and gently run your fingers from the bottom to your roots. if it is very bumpy (or not smooth) then cause your hair not to hold stuff as well. another way you can tell is if it takes a short time to dry your hair then again it has problems holding struff. i have the same problem. i dyed my blond hair brown and with in 1 week it was already fading. you could also go to a salon and ask them.

Semi permament hues are stable to apply like loopy coloration and instructions, this way of dye isn't unfavourable you may positioned it on as much as you like. It would not contrain any peroxid. If ur hair is allready broken i might sugest employing a conditionin scientific care, which includes nioxen this might restoration ur hair.

Are you using the conditioner they give you after dying the hair? Plus you should use a coloring shampoo, that is for color treated hair to keep it from fading.

Switch brands, revlon sucks. Also are you dying it red? Red will fade the fastest.

Loreal brand works great!! Also, check the kind of shampoo you are using; it could be stipping your color out also.

I have found that none of them really last forever. I mean it's kind of something that you have to do every so often.
