That's a funny question. If you have been a "believer" in the past, and are wondering if you are now an atheist, you probably have already given it a lot of thought. You might have some last nagging questions that you haven't had answered to your satisfaction that are holding you back. If so, ask those questions. But don't become an atheist just because some other atheists answer "yes" to your question.

It depends. Are you an atheist? Are you agnostic? Are you a believer?

Becoming an atheist is more of a process than a decision. One can grow into being a believer, but become a Christian by going through the baptismal and confirmation initiation rituals.

Atheism has no initiation rituals. (Although maybe we ought to try a communal roll in the mud.) The thought process simply leads you where it will, based on how you find yourself making sense of the evidence, your experience, and your place in your community.

The core products of religions is the subject (after life) so they teach you what you should do and what should you avoid in case you wants to be rewarded with things after life. in the contrary Atheism does not raise the subject of after life and no promise made beyond this life and mostly you use common sense in your decision. So religion well limit your decision making process and space because you always consider after life in your decision, while atheism give broader space in decision making.

Evidently you are.Just like true Christianity, there is no group or building to join . Your lack of belief in the creator makes you. one. Congratulations you have joined a club of billions, some in churches some not. You haven't lost anything that wasn't already lost. You just confessed it with your mouth.

I am sorry you are of the unsaved , but we all cannot be saved. many are called , few are chosen.

At least , more than most, you know where you stand.

An atheist isn't really something you choose to become - It's something you necessarily become (or remain) as a result of finding no persuasive reason to believe that any gods or goddesses exist in reality.

Well... atheism isn't "anti religion"... so if you just don't "like" religion but still believe in God, I think it'd be better to call yourself a non-denominational theist. If you TRULY don't believe in God or any gods, go ahead with the atheism. Personally I think it's the only logical stance.

All humans have free will, so the choice is yours. But, there is a God that cares about you. The only way that you could get to know about him is by studying your bible. Why not contact your nearest Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for a free home bible study. We are currently studying in a publication titled "What Does The Bible Really Teach."

may I assume you do not like whatever you are now? I would say weigh your options carefully and do some reading and not just listening and watching but those are also good tools to use when making a decision.

All you have to do is not believe there is a god. Just to make sure you know atheism isn't a religion it's just a statement of non-belief.

It seems (by your other questions) that you are seriously thinking about this. I say "go for it". If it doesn't work out then find a religion that fits you better.
