Question for practicing Muslims...?

I recently posted a question regarding comments made by the Iraqi leader of al-Qaida that disturbed me. One response inparticular was made by a Muslim young lady. The response kinda disturbed me. Basically, she said that the comments made by the al-Qaida leader (calling for scientists to join the Jihad and use nuclear/biological weapons) shouldn't cause me concern. Instead she suggested that I should be happy that Islam was coming to embrace me.

I'm a pagan... I believe that everyone worships the SAME god... we all just view that god in different ways.

As a Muslim do you seriously want this to occur (the use of nuclear and biological weapons) to spread your faith?

- Yes, I am aware that the idiotic US government of the past (WWII people) used nuclear weapons... different time and different place... wasn't smart then... isn't smart now... but the US isn't the one threaten to use them now, are we?

- I have friends that are Muslim... and we've talked frequently about the beauty of Islam... including it's peaceful messages.

I don't see this as Islam vs. the USA... I see this as terrorists and fanatics vs. people that are tired of dealing with it

- PS. my little brother was in Iraq for a year as a medic. He was stationed north of Baghdad and spent his tour treating civillians that were attacked by terrorists...women and children mostly. Attacked because their husbands and fathers were working with the US army to oust a regieme that mistreated them all their lives... where is the justice and peace of Islam for them? They didn't ask to be raped, abused, tortured and mutilated. It certainly wasn't US soldiers doing that to them it was Muslim fundamentalists attacking their own people... what do you want us to do... turn a blind eye and let people suffer? We're not perfect... no one is... everyone (and I mean everyone) does things with ulterior motives (even Islamic fundamentalists).

well let me put it this way, as a human, i do not want any of that to happen. and yes it is wrong to perform an act which will take lives of numerous ppl. also Islam was never to be spread on force. Muhammad(PBUH) always preached that be kind and nice to ur enemies, and if they please and want to join your faith welcome them w/out having any grudge in ur heart that once this person was nonmuslim. (that i am saying to that particular paticipants comment abt islam embracing u).

as a muslim, i still think its wrong. y? here is y. so far in history of mankind, there have been ultimate weapons. nuclear bombs are one of them. true that in this particular era, we muslims are suffering due to some pot heads, who are trying save islam. (lolz it never made sense to me) though i am a muslim and being a muslim i would like to question those extremist that if they are trying to save Islam, then y can't they make ultimate defense?

killing is wrong no matter wot! if members of al-Qaida kill 2americans with them die 20 iraqis. my point is, those ppl have been barinwashed. by whom, that i don't know....but the time is for muslims to wake up and spit out the anger and hatered. i know its hard and might seem impossible, but come on. aren't those al-qaida ppl worse than westerners? they want to develope weapons of masdistruction that will kill not only americans and other nonmuslims but muslims as well.
if they r truly the defenders of Islam, they shoudl know that if a muslim kills another muslim(who is faultless), then eternal hell awaits him....

Ofcourse not! Although I do think their agenda for using nukes is more of a political one. As the faith I come from (Islam) says "There is no compulsion in religion."(Quran 2:256). I pray no one answers alqaeda's request. They have brought nothing but destruction and served no ones cause except satans. They caused harm to Muslims more than Non-Muslims. It's sickening how much Muslims they've killed since the beginning of Ramadan alone! In markets shopping for food to break their fast.. so sad. Please remember these criminals are supported only by a small number, but are still dangerous for us to be aware of, as every Muslim country is fighting them. Last month a plot was foiled in my country where the alqaeda cell had enough explosives to kill hundreds of innocent civilians. I thank God for the police for risking their lives to protect us from them.

No. I think it bettef to spread the religion peacefully not by the use of nuclear and biological weapons. Not all muslims believe that this is right.

Muslims do not want to use violence for spreading the word, there is only a small fraction who are ignorant. Most Muslims around you are peace loving and remember please the history of mankind, nukes have been used only once, what to know who it was? the warriors against terrorism, USA, peace to you all

i mean no hostility but firstly iraqis are not in other ppls countries imposing their will, they are fighting for their families
secondly the leader would simply see this as advantage to defeat the oppressors just as the americans see it as an advantage to use f-16s and tomahawk missiles
thirdly america provided iraq with chemical and biological weapons in the war it planned against iran

Muslims strap bombs on their kids, they aren't afraid of using wmd, as Saddam already did against the Kurds.
