No dog should poop every hour unless you are feeding a horrible dog food or there is something seriously wrong with him. Even a young bulldog should be able to hold it for 4-6 hours. See a vet for a thorough exam and bring a stool sample so he can be checked for parasites.

But DON'T use a "low residue" food - they can sometimes cause intestinal problems - it's natural and healthy for the undigested materials to move out of the dog's system. I have always thought that IAMS and Eukanuba were overpriced for the quality of the ingredients.

Look for a food that does NOT have "by products" in the ingredients list or you'll be paying a lot of money for garbage. Personally, I like Nutro - it has no by products and is reasonably priced and my dogs have done fine on it for more than 10 years. They make canned and dry dog foods for puppies and adults. Any changes in diet should be made slowly to avoid diarrhea - gradually mix more new food in with what you've been using until he's switched over.

ok seperation anxiety is VERY tough to fix. but i can give you some tips dogs usually dig out of boredom and lack of exersize a boxer is a working breed and needs at LEAST a one hour walk every day try to tire your dog out as much as possible before you leave a tired dog is a well behaved dog. also when you leave give the dog something fun like a kong filled with peanut butter or if your dog is allergic to peanut butter try cream cheese. or even thow your dog a bone NOT a store brand bone i am talking about a raw bone straight from the butcher or a steak fresh 100% raw bones are the only bones 100% safe for dogs. if it is a big problem try a doggy day care center or see if a friend or family member can watch your dog but your best bet would be a professional dog trainer. it can be very costly but very much worth the money cuz sometimes only a professional can fix a problem.

you'll have to bring him in and housetrain him. every time he makes a mess inside, take him outside right away and stand there until he poops outside where he's supposed to, then praise the dickens out of him and bring him inside again.

eventually he'll catch on that he's got to give you clues as to when he needs to be let outside to do his business - standing or whining by the door, etc.

also make sure that you let him go outside to go potty on a regular basis, even if your dog doesn't tell you he has to go. if he's a puppy, you'll have to take him out probably every 2-3 hours. if he's an adult, 3-4 times per day.

Try putting him on a regular feeding schedule.
Feed him first thing in the morning, and be sure he gets a good walk, with plenty of time to potty.
Then walk him as soon as you get in, then feed him again and walk in another hour. Be sure to walk him before you leave for any events or you go to bed at night.

A regular feeding and walking schedule should do the trick.
