Well ... are YOU gay?
By your reasoning, if he is, so are you.
No, the only thing that makes you (or him) gay is if you (or he) wants to sleep with someone of your own gender.
People make eye contact over all kinds of things - inside jokes, establishing trust, dominance behavior, etc.

A lot of guys can be experimental, and I know that I'm always making eye-contact with my friends. Maybe it's just that he sees you looking around, thinks you're looking at him, and gets the wrong impression?

To make eye contact you both have to be looking, so it makes you gay as much as him.
However, I wouldn't say making eye contact makes either of you gay.

Not necessarily. It could be that they were both taught when they were young that when talking to anyone that you must always maintain eye contact, for it shows confidence in ones self.

probably he is, and has gay tendencies like you do, although he may be hiding them. Id say that if doesnt get peeved and come over and slap you around, you might get lucky with him.
