If I could choose anywhere to go during the Christmas Holidays I would go to the Carribean side of Costa Rica. Its warm, tropical & very beautiful. The people are very friendly everywhere in Costa Rica and it is safe to travel anywhere.

Best is a matter of taste. Mexico has a ton of places to choose from. Cheaper then most other places. Dominic is also cheap. Christmas time will cost you a arm and a leg! so book early. The longer you wait the more you pay. If traveling with children, try Beaches! Awesome totally awesome! Girlfriends ~ stay away from couples places. Traveling as a couple, Secrets is very nice and s is couples. Sandals are everywhere! Some are nicer than others. Some are very old! Read tip adviser on the property you choose. They are written by normal travelers and can give you a heads up if it's not what it says it is.

Christmas travel is booked by many well in advance so this is going to be hard. You can go sure, but for what price? Where you live will be a factor depending on how sold out flights are from your city to another.

There are several options to look at. You could fly into Cancun and go down to the Mayan Riviera. Like I said depending on your budget will determine if and where you can go.

If you have further questions at all otherwise I can help you try and find something that will be beautiful and hopefully cost friendly at least.

Try Barbados. If you're budgetting and don't care about the fancy hotels, there's Pegwell Inn Guest House in Welches where by far is the cheapest, and I know a woman who works/lives there -- she got a little bar there, too, also from there, across the street, there's a plaza called Southern, it has supermarket, bank, barber shop, shoes store, travel agency, video store, and a store where you can buy stamps, postcards, stuff like that. And it's close to the sea. Only a walking distance to the post office in Oistins. Also, route taxis, public transit costs $1.50 each way in Barbadian currency. In Bridgetown, go to Swan Street, it's a busy street, and offers a lot of stuff. Also has bus terminal there. In Batheseba (sp?), there are rocks there, it's mountain like in the east coast. Check out The Crane in St. Phillips. I've been to Barbados 4 times, and as of this year, it's my home away from home -- it's like I go home for vacation. Hope this helps.

Something in Northern Australia would be cool. Take a tour of the great barrier reef....wow that would be fun. I wish I had the funds.
